Things to Do After Graduation

1. Reflect on Your Interests and Strengths:

Think about what fields excite you and where your skills can be most impactful. Reflecting on your experiences during internships, classes, or projects can help clarify which paths feel rewarding.

2. Identify Long-Term Goals:

Consider where you'd like to be in five or ten years. Setting some initial long-term goals can help guide your career decisions. You don’t need a rigid plan, but a general direction will help.

3. Research Your Industry:

Look into growing fields within your area of study. Are there emerging technologies, popular roles, or companies known for hiring fresh grads in your field? LinkedIn, job boards, and industry sites are great resources.

4. Gain Practical Experience:

Internships, part-time jobs, or even volunteer work in your chosen field can provide valuable experience. Hands-on experience also strengthens your resume and helps build industry connections.

5. Develop a Strong Professional Network:

Attend industry events, connect with alumni from your school, and keep in touch with professors. Networking can be crucial for finding hidden opportunities and for mentorship.

6. Consider Further Learning:

Certifications, courses, or even a master’s degree might be helpful, especially if your field requires technical expertise. Explore opportunities for further study if they align with your goals.

7. Create a Compelling Resume and LinkedIn Profile:

Tailor your resume to highlight relevant skills and achievements. A professional LinkedIn profile can help recruiters find you and showcase your qualifications.

8. Start with an Entry-Level Role:

Don’t worry if your first job isn’t your “dream” job. Early roles are opportunities to learn, build skills, and expand your network. They’re stepping stones that can lead to your ideal career.

9. Stay Adaptable:

Careers are often nonlinear, and flexibility can open doors to unexpected opportunities. Be open to exploring paths you may not have initially considered.

10. Seek Mentorship:

Find a mentor in your field for advice and feedback. Mentors can help guide your career, introduce you to their network, and give you insight into the industry.

Yuran Sekolah 2016 - Kenaikan Luar Biasa

Belum termasuk tambang bas sekolah lagi. Kenaikan 10 peratus itu adalah sangat konservatif. Berjimat cermatlah dalam berbelanja. http://www.utusan.com.my/berita/wilayah/2-000-murid-terima-bantuan-persekolahan-8232-bernilai-rm60-000-sumbangan-tabung-haji-1.174935

Buying a new bike

Traffic in KK is getting worse from time to time. Not only expensive house rental and food, the cost for getting to work is also increasing. I am seriously considering buying a bike... Still haven't made up my mind yet, a typical bike or a scooter? Scooter looks more elegant and easier to handle. However, expect higher CAPEX and OPEX. Typical bike looks not so stylish, but should meet the intended purpose i.e. getting to work. Based on these arguments, I prefer scooter to typical bike :) Waiting for the right time, then just go the the shop and grab one... no more thinking. This one looks nice: Joymax 250: yet to find the dealer and OTR price. Huge luggage box works for me. The 12L fuel capacity is good for a non-stop 300km-journey.
